The iTunes Music Store and Rhapsody are now selling "Underskin"
online, where you can buy individual songs or the entire record.
It will soon be available via Napster, Musicmatch, and BuyMusic.

"Underskin" is one of 10 CDs being featured in a full-page
CD Baby ad that will appear in next month's issue of the indie
music magazine "Devil in the Woods". The issue hits
the street at the end of April.
Alex is interviewed on Berkeley radio station KALX on the Sex

"Underskin" is chosen as Amoeba Music's Bay Area "Home
Grown Hit" for this month. As a result, "Underskin" is featured
in a quarter-page ad in the SF Bay Guardian as well as on the
"Homegrown" page on Amoeba's website, and is displayed
prominently in the SF store. Thanks, Amoeba! Read the blurb they
wrote about us on our Press page.
December 2003

Laughingstock puts the finishing touches on "Underskin", mastering
with Greg Calbi (David Bowie, John Lennon, Paul Simon, U2). This record is produced by
Lee Townsend, best known for his work with Bill
Frisell, Pat Metheny, Kelly Joe Phelps, and Elvis Costello. In addition to Alex Nahas (vocals/Chapman Stick) and Mark Bernfield
(drums/ backing vocals), the record features beautiful and sonically
adventurous contributions from cellist Zoe Keating, violinist
Milton Cross, and keyboardist Eric Glick Rieman.
